New generation of S2C modems (sweep-spread carrier technology) for communication, positioning and USBL tracking in one device. With high bitrates, low error probability and long transmission distances, S2C-modems open up potential applications for improved submarine, AUV and divers operation, sub-sea acoustic networks with quasi-duplex communication. Besides, the fields of competence are in-pipe acoustic data telemetry (data transmission via drilling pipe), sonar, biologically inspired underwater robotics, fluid dynamic shape optimization and low noise propulsion systems.
Underwater acoustic data telemetry/communication (network capable), underwater voice communication (digital channel), acoustic data telemetry via drilling pipe (drilling fluid), biologically inspired underwater robotics, underwater gliders (bionic construction "manta", "pinguin"), USBL antennas.
Integration of underwater devices into underwater observatories (long-term bottom and surface units) with the option of flexible data exchange between the units and terrestrial laboratories, development of underwater acoustic networks, development of acoustic data transmission system for in-pipe data telemetry (drilling pipe via drilling fluid), fluid dynamic shape optimization and development of low noise propulsion systems.
