Established in 1987, Maritec has a very long history of providing professional marine surveys and consultancy services to the shipping community.In 1999, Maritec laboratory was established to provide an international service for marine fuel and petroleum product analysis.The business expanded well over the years and Maritec was subsequently acquired by a group of senior managers from DNV & Alfa Laval in May 2004.The new management team brought with them in depth and extensive knowledge and experience in marine fuel quality andquantity issues as well as fuel handling, fuel treatment and usage onboard ship. The laboratory is now extremely busy and is open every day of the year including weekends and all public holidays.Test results are available within 24 hours of sample arrival in the laboratory. Having worked with DNV Petroleum Services (DNVPS) all those years and been involved in pioneering fuel testing in the 80’s; the team members have been in marine fuel testing much longer than any of the competitors.
