The port of Klaipeda is the main logistics hub in Lithuania. Thanks to its favourable geographical situation Klaipeda has developed the wide network of ferry and other shipping lines connecting it to the most important transport centres in Scandinavia and Western Europe.
In the last decade new breakwaters have been built, the fairway and the considerable part of the port deepened to 14 metres, new berths and cargo terminals constructed.
