 Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard started building five tankers project RST 22 Nizhniy Novgorod, February, 29, 2008. Five tankers project RST 22 for Palmali Group were laid down at Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard, MNP Group. The contract for construction option vessels was signed in December, 2007.
In accordance with the contract signed in February, 2007 ten vessels (including 5 option vessels) of the project will be built at the Yard. Preliminary delivery date of five tankers project RST22 is year 2008, of other five vessels – year 2009.
Maximum length of the vessel is 139.95 m, breadth – 16.60 m, depth – 6.0 m, capacity of six cargo and two slop tanks – 8,090 cubic m, main engine power - 2õ1,200 kW, speed – 10.5 knots. Class of the tanker is - KM*ËÓ1 II À1 of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping. The design was worked out by Marine Design Bureau (Odessa, Ukraine). The vessels obtain additional sign in the class symbol – EKO Project. This sign is indicative of additional requirements for pollution prevention at accidents. Environmentally safe vessels find credence of freight owners, maritime administration, and port authorities.
