 The tanker "Araz River" has gone to fitting-out to Rostov-on-Don Nizhniy Novgorod, November, 18, 2008. The fourth vessel of project RST22 "Araz River" has left water area of Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard (MNP Group). The tanker of new project RST22 is constructed for Palmali Group. Before closing of river navigation the vessel should have time to pass across the Volga and the Volga-Don Channel. Under contracts ten tankers project RST22 were be built. The lead ship "Kura River" was handed over to the customer in July, 2008, the second ship "Nasiba Zeynalova" - in August, 2008, the third tanker "Bashir Safaroglu" - in October, 2008. Maximum length of the vessel is 139.95 m, breadth - 16.60 m, depth - 6.0 m, deadweight - 7008 ton, capacity of six cargo and two slop tanks - 8,090 cubic m, main engine power - 2õ1200 kW, speed - 10.5 knots. Class of the tanker is - KM ËÓ1 II À1 of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping. The design was worked out by Marine Engineering Bureau (Odessa, Ukraine). The vessels obtain additional sign in the class symbol - EKO Project. This sign is indicative of additional requirements for pollution prevention at accidents. Environmentally safe vessels find credence of freight owners, maritime administration, and port authorities.
