Volga-Caspian Design Bureau - New Design of Dry Cargo Vessel

Nizhniy Novgorod, December, 29, 2008 - Volga-Caspian Design Bureau (MNP Group) signed a contract with Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard to develop detail design of dry cargo ship project 19500. This is vessel of river-sea type with the deadweight of 7640 tonnes. The vessel will be designed for the transportation of cargo, including hazardous cargo. The design is developed under the class КМ Ice1 [I] R2-RSN AUT1 of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.

Technical specifications: deadweight - 7640/4850 tons, length overall - 141.60 m, beam - 16.90 m, depth - 6.2 m, above-water height - 17.20, draught - 4.75/3.60 m, tonnage - 10 240/7450 tons, cargo capacity - 7340/4700, container capacity of cargo compartments - 289/219 units, capacity of cargo compartments - 11 320 cubic meters, 4 cargo compartments, main engines - 2x1200 kW, loaded speed - 10.3 knots, crew - 12 people, 14 sleeping accommodations, endurance - 15/10 days.
