OJSC DO “Vympel” completed the work on designing the supply vessel for drilling rigs

On March 27, 2009 DO "Vympel" completed the work on obtaining approval of documentation of supply vessel engineering design and handed over such documentation to CDO "Baltsudoproekt" (Krylov Research Institute).

The Customer of the ship is OJSC "Gasflot". The ship is intended for supply of floating drilling rigs with consumables necessary for drilling, inventories as well as for towing and anchoring of drilling rigs, having emergency and salvage duty, eliminating of oil spills (flash point over 60^oC).

The ship has the following class: KM Arc5 AUT1  FF2WS YNPOS-2 EPP Tug, Supply Vessel Special purpose ship.

She has the following main particulars:

• Length overall - 85.08 m
• Breadth overall - 18.22 m
• Design draft - 6.5 m
• Deadweight - 2,817 t
• Sea endurance - 30 days

The architectural and design type corresponds to existing classical type of supply vessels. This ship is single-deck, with superstructure and wheelhouse arranged fore, with exposed cargo deck. She is fitted with dynamic positioning automatic system.
