 The “Samur River”, the sixth tanker of the project RST22 built by Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard passed the sea trials Nizhniy Novgorod, April, 30, 2009. The tanker was launched on 28 March 2009 being sent for sea trials on 28 April 2009. The tanker will be delivered to the customer on 20 May 2009. Specifications: length overall - 139.95 m, beam - 16.60 m, hull height - 6 m, deadweight in sea - about 7000 tons with the draft of 4.60 m, in river - 4700 tons with the draft of 3.60 m, capacity of six cargo tanks and two slop tanks - 8090 cubic meters, capacity of main propulsion engine - 2x120 kW, operating speed - 10.5 knots. Class of the tanker is - KM*ËÓ1 II À1 EKO Project of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping. The design was worked out by Marine Engineering Bureau (Odessa, Ukraine). Vessels obtain additional sign in the class symbol - EKO Project. This sign is indicative of additional requirements for pollution prevention at accidents. Environmentally safe vessels find credence of freight owners, maritime administration and port authorities.
